BANGKOK – The Tourism Authority of Thailand (TAT) has doubled its efforts to promote weekend travel and short trips to Thailand from destinations within the ASEAN region and other short-haul markets. In addition to Indonesia, Singapore and Malaysia, The Philippines is on TAT’s list of promising source markets for visitor arrivals.
TAT Pattaya recently teamed up with the Pattaya Business Tourism Association and the Eastern Region Golf Association to organise a familiarisation trip from August 2 to 4 to Pattaya for 16 tour operators from The Philippines, with the support of TAT Singapore and Philippine Airlines.
