HONG KONG – WORLDHOTELS affiliated hotels in Beijing struck gold, celebrating record results during the 2008 Beijing Olympics.

Hotel rates soared with a huge increase in visitors to the Chinese capital from the start of the Olympics.

Occupancy reached OVER 86 percent, as average room rates increased by 421 percent to US$451.

”Our six WORLDHOTELS affiliated hotels in Beijing achieved record results in line with the Deloitte findings,” said Roland Jegge, WORLDHOTELS’ VP, Asia-Pacific.

With occupancy of 99.5 percent, Deluxe Collection-listed Hotel Kunlun exceeded all records with average room rates over RMB4,000.
